Herman joined Chambers in 2023 upon successful completion of his pupillage with Mr. Kenneth Lee, Ms. Priscilia Lam, Mr. Lincoln Cheung, and Mr. Solomon Lam, and extended pupillage with Mr. Simon So. Herman has a broad civil and criminal practice and in addition also has experience in bankruptcy/ winding up, construction/ arbitration, family, mental health applications, professional negligence, and taxation matters. He regularly appears in the Court of First Instance, the District Court, and the Magistrates’ Courts both as a sole advocate and a led junior.  

As an avid mooter and debater, Herman has coached various Viz East Moot teams and debating teams since his undergraduate years.  

Practice aside, Herman has keen interest in academic research and has presented in academic conference on the use of AI in law. He has also been appointed as part-time lecturer of the Hong Kong Shue Yan University since 2023, teaching Company Law.
